Terms of sale and licence

Last updated 10 October 2026

In short: you pay once and can use UteDesk in your own business on all your devices. You can't share or resell it. It's an admin tool, not tax or legal advice. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.

About these terms

These terms apply when you buy and use UteDesk, a downloadable spreadsheet system for Excel and Google Sheets sold at utedesk.app ("UteDesk", "we", "us"). By buying UteDesk you agree to them. If you have a question, email .

Buying UteDesk

Launch pricing

UteDesk is sold at a launch price for a limited time. When the launch period ends, the price goes up to the standard price shown on the website. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you buy, and we won't charge you again if the price changes later.

Delivery

UteDesk is delivered digitally. After payment you get a download link, by email and on the confirmation page, for a ZIP file containing the workbook, the guides and the bonus pack. Nothing is posted. If your link doesn't arrive or doesn't work, email with your order number and we'll send it again.

Your licence

UteDesk is licensed to you, not sold. Your purchase gives one business (you and your staff) the right to:

You may not:

If you break these licence terms, your licence ends and you must delete your copies. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

What you need

UteDesk works in Microsoft Excel (Windows or Mac) and in Google Sheets. You need a device that can open .xlsx files, or a free Google account. Some features, such as protected cells and dropdowns, can behave slightly differently between Excel and Google Sheets. The Start Guide explains how to use it in each.

An admin tool, not advice

UteDesk helps you prepare quotes and invoices, track jobs and work out figures such as GST to put aside. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial or workplace safety advice, and it is not accounting, payroll or BAS-lodging software. Reminders in the workbook, such as deposit limits or tax-invoice details, are general and may not cover your situation.

You're responsible for checking your figures, the documents you send, and your obligations to the ATO, your state regulator and your customers. If you're unsure, talk to your accountant, BAS agent or adviser.

Support and updates

Email support is available at . We may release fixes or improvements to UteDesk and may offer them to existing customers, but we don't promise future updates or new features unless we say so at the time you buy.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. See our refund policy for how we handle problems.

Our liability

To the extent the law allows, and apart from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost jobs, penalties or interest, arising from your use of UteDesk or from figures, documents or messages you create with it. Where our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying UteDesk again or refunding what you paid.

Ownership

UteDesk, including the workbook design, formulas, guides, prompts, messages, name and logo, is © 2026 UteDesk. All rights reserved. Your own data, such as your customers, prices and jobs, belongs to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you buy applies to your purchase.
