Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
In short: what you type into UteDesk stays on your device. We only collect what we need to sell you UteDesk and help you: your name, email and order details. We never sell your information.
Your workbook stays with you
UteDesk is a file you keep on your own computer, phone or cloud drive, such as Google Drive or OneDrive. The customers, prices, jobs and money you type into it never come to us. We can't see them, and we don't collect them.
What we collect
When you buy
Our payment partner, Dodo Payments, collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process your order. They share your name, email, country and order details with us. We never receive your card number.
When you contact us
If you email [email protected], we keep your email address and the messages you send so we can help you.
When you visit utedesk.app
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view. We may also use analytics and advertising tools, such as the Meta Pixel, to see how visitors find us and whether our ads work. These tools use cookies or similar technology.
How we use it
- to process your order and send you your download
- to answer your questions and give support
- to send you important information about your purchase, such as a fixed file
- to understand how people use our website and improve our ads
- to meet our legal and tax obligations
We'll only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to them, and every one includes a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run UteDesk:
- Dodo Payments, to process payments and deliver your order
- our email provider, to answer and send emails
- our website host
- analytics and advertising providers, such as Meta, if those tools are switched on
We may also share information when the law requires it.
Storage outside Australia
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
How we keep it safe
We keep the information we hold to what we need, store it with providers that use encryption and access controls, and limit who can see it. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee security, but we'll tell you if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax law requires, usually five years, and support emails for as long as they're useful for helping you. After that we delete or de-identify them.
Cookies and ad tools
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can change your ad preferences in your Meta (Facebook and Instagram) account settings. Our website still works without them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some order records to meet legal obligations.
Questions and complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, email [email protected] and we'll look into it. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
